In the Evony world, the focus remains on automation. Botting, scripts and serious gamers are still working hard to get that in-game edge over their opponents.

Despite continuing strong competition in the free browser strategy game market from Grepolis, Evony Free Forever remains the dominant leader with the most gamers (total user base) exceeding 20 million online its believed.

With leading Evony-hater Bruce Everiss falling off the spam-wagon – its allowed Evony and is developers to continue forward without worrying about a one-man-war and personal attacks against the makers of Evony in China.

The advancement of Evony Age II has also seen a quick uptake in new evony accounts, the game remaining free has continued to allow the playing base to keep active.

The other big mover in the evony gaming world, is the buying and selling of evony accounts. Just like with World of Warcraft, gamers with high prestige and experience in Evony are chosing to exit the game by selling their accounts for good money in an auction based setup – on sites like MMObay and others.

Firstly these are all non-official evony sites, many of these sites claiming that evony can be downloaded via some sort of torrent, piratebay or rapidshare ftp site – is extremely dangerous.

There are some evony downloads – which are actually bots or scripts for the online game, but this too is dangerous, as most MMO / MMORPG fans will know that even if an automated or bot script for the game actually helps, it could be planting malware or spyware in the back of your pc.

People or gamers actually looking to download evony may be on slow computers or poor bandwidth internet connections. While this isn’t ideal for internet gaming, the thing with evony free forever is that it doesn’t need an extremely speedy connection.

Unlike older online games the steam based CS or Halflife which need a superfast ping – the game of evony, just like new age browser games are a ‘turn based’ type game.

Especially when setting up a city, building or constructing new items in your evony town or farming / grinding for resources – its a matter of telling the game what to do (awaiting a timer) which can allow you to logout from the evony game and then come back in hours or days later and your process will have occurred.

So this is ideal for gamers with dialup internet, slower connections or even playing games from school via a proxy server or something similar to get around banned games at school (not much fun for bored teens!).

While not using the spotlight of his blog – it seems Bruce is still tweaking his professional made ‘Evony Fraud’ video via the YouTube platform to spread hate about the popular online browser game.

For those not up to date in the browser game wars, Bruce on Games (an elderly games reviewer) took exception to evony and set about spamming the game big time via various platforms.

Makers of the MMORPG eventually took Everiss to court for libel, but they eventually withdrew the claim – many believe because Bruce published personal photos, details and contact info for several of the head families behind evony.

The familes were open to phone calls and spam around teh clock.

While it seemed Everiss was ready to drop his harrassment of evony, given the recent updates to the evony fraud video – bruce on games will still be turning the wheels of hate against evony the MMO game.

After a prominnet legal case that was followed on the internet by noline papers and games journals and websites, evony evntually withdrew its case against bruce the blogger.

But despite having having legal threats and cases withdrawn, has the fight with evony claimed the blogging life of bruce? An elderly man without a job, bruce has claimed that without money from his blog – he will have to give up writing about online games and general technology trends such as PDA games, social networking games (mafiawars, farmville and now kingory and starcraft).

Bruce the blogger did however wage war on the evony game – and while he may have got off from the legal threats, it has cost him big money and probably his sanity.now he isn’t keen on blogging about new browser based gaming trends and updates to the world of online gaming.

So legally. it may be evony 0 and bruce 1

but overall it seems evony game is now 1 and bruce 0 – he may have wona battle, but probably losks to have lost the war.

Ok, who wrote that?

Well, Bruce Everiss the pommy blogger who went on a personal war against leading online MMO web game Evony has seemingly gone to ground.

After spamming the hell out of Evony, it’s owners and publishing personal family pictures, names and addresses of developers – Everiss who runs ‘Bruce on Games’ has all but turned off the switch.

It was like someone from Evony had robbed his house, such was the venom from Everiss on his games blog. While negative reviews is nothing new for Everiss, his hate or jealousy against Evony was a new frontier. He assumed names, jumped on forums and anywhere else he could – he shouted from the roof-tops to everyone “I hate Evony and no one should play it“.

He was involved with a group who released Evony Free Forever hate videos on youtube. The videos, while professionally made, were generally laughed off – as they tried to make evony the game out as a person that would seemingly break into your house, kidnap your family and hold you to ransom.

Wow, a video game could do all this? And a web game at that?

Featuring crow-bars and balaclava’s – this was a comedy act that backfired badly for Everiss as he tried to distance himself from the video.

But what has happened to old Brucey-boy? Admittedly a lot of his fame and traffic for 5 minutes came from his hate campaign against evony. He was eventually taken to court (and later aborted) by Evony LLC, but was the money generated by Everiss asking his users to pay his way – enough for him to retire?

Has he fallen ill?

There has been no moment or publishing on his blog for over a month.

Has the long running Bruce v Evony Free Forever game campaign over?

Surely not.

Maybe we can continue gaming in peace? (Touch wood.)

We’ve spoken about the huge potential for the MMO gaming world brought about by Facebook and their game app component. The addition of the games to the Facebook realm allows gamers to easily access new games and most of them are free and they can quickly add their friends into the games too.

Kingory was another title recently that went down the facebook gaming route and others such as Mafiawars and Farmville have smashed MMORPG gaming records as they tallied hundreds of thousands of Facebook users to play their unique little games free.

But what about Evony?

The leading web based game has had another strong push for accounts and logins and while gamers can still play evony free, the fact that the sequel ‘evony age 2′ is now on tap – and new marketing components are around the web via adsense – evony is ready to do another push for accounts.

But what if they joined forces with Facebook or MySpace?

Evony could seriously attract big numbers – and if they don’t , then blizzard inc is expected to release a world of warcraft style web game to rival the evony game and cash in on the buzz.

If these online free web games arent up your alley, then you might like the Wewaii game which allows the gamer to play free and setup a resort and manage it against competitors! An interesting concept, but one that may prove interesting enough for new gamers to wedge them away from evony, farmville, mafiawars and even the new blizzard (battle.net) agreement with facebook.

This is not just the case for the Evony Forever game, but also for almost all games in the MMO genre. This type of account based ownership started with the likes of World of Warcraft.

When Blizzard turned the monthly subscription model into an artform, there was initially confusion as players claimed they are ‘paying for a gaming account’ so they should be the actual owners of the characters, hereos and all the items that are part of this game-login account.

But despite initial accounts being sold to other gamers, in WoW (Warcraft) and no in Evony the browser based game of popularity at the moment – the account, quest results, hero items and all game alliance details will remain the property of the games owners – in the case of the evony web game (it’s UMGE) united multiplayer gaming entertainment.

UMGE are leaders in web gaming in China and greater-asia with some great gaming titles to their name.

The same principle around the evony forever story is happening with innogames. Innogames GmbH have had some big success stories in the bbgames market – with the big one being TribalWars, then the unmatched WestGame which puts the gamer as a cowboy in the wildwest and finally the Grepolis Game which takes the player to ancient greece for some serious battles on the high seas.

It doesn’t matter which game you are playing, the account and items your login contains will always remain the property of the games developers – so in the case of a problem, stolen game account, illegal login, dispute, friends stealing your account, sneaky password tactics or something like that – if it cannot be sorted out easily, your chances of going legal to get your gaming account back are very very minimal.

There has been some forum talk, with players asking – which is an RTS (Real Time Strategy) game in a similar style to Evony that I can play too and get further enjoyment?

Suggestions came thick and fast from other online gamers, the first suggesting RuneScape -the online free web game that has been around for seemingly ever. A well followed game, it’s an RTS browser game with a lot of similarities to Evony. (Some same that alot of evony was based on Runescape, from the early incarnations as Civony from UMGE).

Others said Damoria and AdventureQuestWorlds could be good online games to play just like Evony.

One that has plenty of potential is DragonFable. A game that has some great quests, a very addictive MMORTS style and probably offers more to account holders and those logging in when compared to something like the 1100ad game online.

1100ad is certainly good in some aspects, but is probably suited to younger games – as the overall theme of the game doesn’t weave too deep and might leave experienced gamers a little bored with length of content and outcome.

Finally, the big movers when looking for free mmo games like Evony – come from the innogames house. Grepolis is based in ancient greece and places a strong focus on having a solid, attacking navy- but you still must aim to grow your city, attack enemies and defend from serious opponent attacks.

Well there has certainly been more evony signups and logins in the past 2 weeks – but it’s impossible to say exactly whether this is because of the game sequel being released, or the solid advertising campaign being run by the minds behind evony free forever – UMGE.

In the latest online game installment, evony players will now experience improved graphics, better interface control, more detailed game-help screens, more quests, more game-items, a larger array of hero’s and much, much more.

But while new accounts and signups are increasing, what about experienced and longer-term evony players? How are they seeing this release?

Well, after chatting to alliance leaders, and those atop the evony honor rankings – most seem happy purely with the fact that the game is getting continued support and development from its core.

After the game suffered for so long because of a single war with a critic, the owners now have been able to focus soley on the job at hand and build better addons for what started out as civony – a basic, MMORPG strategy game purely for the online web browsing world.

Now, the detailed web game is so complex – its re-writing the rules for free online strategy games. Since being released officially in June 2009, evony has helped spawn game-rivals, the likes of the Kingory Game, Grepolis Game and other spoofs like Ultima Online Web Versions and World of Lordcraft.

With so many keen gamers lining up to take part, there doesn’t seem any stopping this MMO BBG game and the rave reviews from sites such as BBG gamer, MMOhut and other online review sites – expect to see the user base of over 20 million evony accounts soar past 30 million very soon.

A possible link or porting to Facebook game app world could see this double or triple to past 50 million evony logins very soon as well, as Kingory just ported to the facebook game app world and many expect other MMO (massive multiplayer free games to do just the same).
